Visa Types

Required Documents
- Valid Passport: With a validity of at least 6 months beyond the intended departure date
- Visa Application Form: Completed and signed
- 2 Passport-Size Photographs: Recent, color, and on a white background
- Proof of Accommodation: Hotel reservation or letter from a host
- Proof of Financial Means: Bank statement or credit card statement
- Itinerary: Detailed plan of your trip, including arrival and departure dates
- Cover Letter: Explaining the purpose of your visit and supporting documents (e.g., business invitation, job offer letter)
- Health Insurance: Proof of coverage with a minimum of $30,000 in medical expenses
- Visa Fee: As per the visa type
Application Procedures
- Online Application: For Tourist Visas only. Visit the Timor-Leste Immigration Service website (https://www.timigration.gov.tl/) and follow the instructions.
- Embassy/Consulate Application: For all other visa types. Submit your application in person or by mail to the nearest Timor-Leste embassy or consulate.

Timelines
- Tourist Visa: Processed within 24 hours if applied online
- Other Visa Types: Processing times vary depending on the visa type and the embassy/consulate. Allow at least 30 days for processing.
Additional Notes
- Visas are issued for a maximum of 30 days for Tourist Visas and 90 days for other visa types.
- Extensions may be possible upon request.
- Visitors must have a return or onward ticket to leave Timor-Leste.
- Yellow fever vaccination is required for travelers coming from countries with a risk of yellow fever transmission.
