NL Scholarship Guide for International Students
The Holland Scholarship has been rebranded as the NL Scholarship to align with the national NL branding. It is designed for non-European Economic Area (non-EEA) students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the Netherlands.
🎓 Scholarship Benefits
- €5,000 one-time grant (given in the first year of study)
- Does NOT cover tuition fees or living expenses — it is only a financial supplement
✅ Eligibility Criteria
You must:
- Be a non-EEA citizen
- Apply for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s program at a participating Dutch institution
- Meet the admission requirements of your selected program
- Have never studied in the Netherlands before

The NL Scholarship is offered by various Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences.
