Visa Process for Caribbean Netherlands

The Caribbean Netherlands consists of three special municipalities: Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba. These islands are part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands but are not part of the European Union (EU). Therefore, visa requirements may differ from mainland Netherlands.

Visa Types

Tourist Visa:
* Required for stays up to 90 days
* Allows for tourism, visiting family or friends

Business Visa:
* Required for business activities, such as attending conferences or meetings
* May be granted for short or long-term stays

Study Visa:
* Required for students enrolling in an educational institution for more than 90 days

Required Documents

* Proof of accommodation, such as hotel reservation or invitation letter from a host
* Return flight ticket

Business Visa:
* Valid passport with at least 6 months validity
* Invitation letter from a business partner in the Caribbean Netherlands
* Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of the stay
* Proof of business purpose, such as a meeting agenda or conference registration

Study Visa:
* Valid passport with at least 6 months validity
* Letter of admission from an educational institution in the Caribbean Netherlands
* Proof of sufficient funds for tuition and living expenses
* Proof of health insurance

Application Procedures

Tourist Visa:
* Apply online through the Dutch immigration website or at a Dutch embassy or consulate
* Processing time is generally 15 days

Business Visa:
* Apply at a Dutch embassy or consulate
* Processing time may vary depending on the complexity of the application

Study Visa:
* Apply at a Dutch embassy or consulate
* Processing time is generally 6-8 weeks
