Visa Process for Poland
1. Determine Visa Type:
- Schengen Visa: Short-stay visa for stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
- National Visa: Long-stay visa for stays exceeding 90 days.
2. Required Documents:
Schengen Visa:
- Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure date
- Visa application form
- 2 recent passport-size photos
- Proof of travel insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000
- Proof of accommodation (hotel booking, Airbnb confirmation, etc.)
- Proof of financial means (bank statement, salary slip, etc.)
- Invitation letter (if applicable)
- Flight itinerary
National Visa:
- Additional documents may be required, such as:
- Proof of employment or study
- Proof of sufficient financial means
- Medical certificate
- Criminal record check
3. Application Procedures:
- Online Application:
- Complete the online visa application form on the website of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs: https://www.e-konsulat.gov.pl/
- In-Person Appointment:
- Schedule an appointment at the nearest Polish embassy or consulate.
- Submit the completed application form and supporting documents.
4. Fees:
- Schengen Visa: €80
- National Visa: €60
5. Timelines:
- Processing time for Schengen visas: 15-30 days
- Processing time for national visas: 30-90 days
Additional Information:
- Biometrics: Fingerprints and a facial image will be taken during the in-person appointment.
- Visa Decision: The embassy or consulate will notify you of the visa decision via email or post.
