Visa Types

Required Documents

For Tourist Visa:

  • Passport with at least 6 months validity
  • Completed online visa application form
  • Hotel reservation or proof of accommodation
  • Return flight ticket

For Business Visa:

  • Passport with at least 6 months validity
  • Completed online visa application form
  • Invitation letter from a Maldivian company
  • Proof of business purpose (e.g., meeting agenda, business plan)

For Employment Visa:

  • Passport with at least 6 months validity
  • Completed online visa application form
  • Job offer letter from a Maldivian employer
  • Medical certificate
  • Police clearance certificate

Application Procedures

Tourist Visa:

  1. Visit the Maldives Immigration website: https://immigration.gov.mv/
  2. Click on “e-Visa Application” and create an account.
  3. Fill out the online visa application form.
  4. Upload the required documents.
  5. Pay the visa fee.
  6. Submit your application and wait for approval.

Business and Employment Visas:

  1. Obtain the required documents from the relevant Maldivian authority.
  2. Visit the Maldives Immigration website: https://immigration.gov.mv/
  3. Click on “Visa Services” and select “Business Visa” or “Employment Visa.”
  4. Submit the required documents and pay the visa fee.
  5. The visa application will be processed by the Maldives Immigration Department.

  • Tourist Visa: $50
  • Business Visa: $75
  • Employment Visa: $100

  • Tourist Visa: Approval typically takes within 24 hours.
  • Business Visa: Processing time varies depending on the complexity of the application.
