Visa Process for Micronesia

Visa Types

  • Tourist Visa: For stays of up to 30 days for tourism purposes.
  • Business Visa: For stays of up to 90 days for business activities.
  • Employment Visa: For stays of more than 90 days for employment purposes.
  • Dependent Visa: For spouses, children, or other dependents of visa holders.

Required Documents

For Tourist and Business Visas:

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay
  • Completed visa application form
  • Two passport-sized photographs
  • Proof of sufficient financial means to support the stay (bank statements, credit card statements)
  • Itinerary or proof of onward travel arrangements
  • For Business Visas: Letter of invitation from the company in Micronesia

For Employment Visas:

  • In addition to the above documents:
  • Employment contract
  • Work permit issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs
  • Medical certificate

Application Procedures

Online Application:

  • Visit the Micronesian Embassy or Consulate website in your country.
  • Download the visa application form and fill it out completely.
  • Submit the form along with the required documents via email or online portal.

In-Person Application:

  • Visit the Micronesian Embassy or Consulate in person.
  • Obtain a visa application form and fill it out.
  • Submit the form along with the required documents and the appropriate visa fee.

Fees

  • Tourist Visa: $50
  • Business Visa: $100
  • Employment Visa: $150
  • Dependent Visa: $50

Timelines

  • Online Applications: Processing time can take up to 10 business days.
  • In-Person Applications: Processing time can take up to 5 business days.
  • Urgent Applications: Expedited processing is available for an additional fee.
